Montana native Craig McConnell grew up in Central Pennsylvania, and has travelled
extensively, residing in the Southwest and Florida. With degrees from the
Universities of Pennsylvania and California, Berkeley, his service with the U.S. Navy
included a year’s sojourn in Sardinia, Italy. A member of the Fond du Lac Band of
Lake Superior Chippewa, complementing diverse tastes in music and tangential
keyboard skills, he appreciates Native American arts, Korean cinema, and fine art
portraiture; rides Triumph motorcycles; enjoys the challenges of photography; and
thrives on the discovery and jolt of a perfect double capp in the most surprising places.

Craig writes in the Literary Fiction genre, stocking his sophisticated character-
driven stories with spirited dialogue among extraordinarily talented musicians,
artists, and entrepreneurs; patient stalwarts, and those in emotional turmoil
seeking to survive, perhaps even achieve a vital balance in the late-twentieth
